Terms of Use

Last updated: 2026-09-07

These Terms of Use describe the legally binding terms and conditions between you and Spark Credit that govern your use of the Website (sparkcredit.ca) and the Services. By using the Website you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Website.

Who we are

The Website is operated by Spark Credit, located at 18 King Street East, Suite 1400, Toronto, ON, M5C 1C4. Spark Credit is a brand of CompareHub by Loans Canada.

Our service

Spark Credit is a loan comparison platform and a lead referral service, not a lender. We do not arrange or underwrite any financial services. When you apply for a service on the Website, we make a referral of your application to qualified providers, who make their own decisions about your application. Users may also apply by clicking on links to product or service provider landing pages.

Loan terms

Loans range from $500–$50,000 with terms from 4 months to 60 months or longer. APRs range from 9.99% to 35.00% and depend on the provider's assessment of your credit profile. Representative example: a $5,000 loan with a 48 month term at 9.99% APR results in a weekly payment of $29.17, a total repayment amount of $6,066.48 and a total interest cost of $1,066.48. Pre-qualification offers may lead to a soft credit check which won't affect your credit score. Pre-qualification offers are tentative and do not guarantee approval.

Eligibility and your responsibilities

  • You must be a Canadian resident of the age of majority in your province or territory.
  • You agree to provide accurate, current and complete information and to keep it up to date.
  • You are responsible for reviewing the terms offered by any provider before accepting them.

Consent to contact

By submitting an application you consent to being contacted by Spark Credit and by the providers we refer you to, by email, phone or text message, regarding your application.

Intellectual property

All content on the Website is owned by or licensed to Spark Credit and may not be copied or used without permission, except as required to use the Services.

Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Website and Services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Spark Credit is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the Website or from any product or service obtained from a provider.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
